Out With A Bang Read-A-Thon

The Read-A-Thon is in full swing now!
I apologize for the late posting, my computer flaked out on me :(

I want to say, I am SO overwhelmed with the amazing response we've gotten from readers and authors! You guys rock!

Check out my co-conspirator The Bookish Type

Post your progress and look out for Twitter-exclusive giveaways with the hashtag #OutWithABang

I have for you some beautiful swag courtesy of The Story Siren, Kristina McBride, and Julie Kagawa:
I'm awaiting more which has been delayed due to the holidays. I'll update this when it arrives...

Kristina McBride sent me a journal in which she hand-wrote a 2 page message.

A signed proof copy of Temperature: Dead and Rising by Adam Santo.

A signed audiobook of The Duff by Kody Keplinger

Tyger, Tyger by Kersten Hamilton

Whoever reads the most pages will get to pick 2 of the above. Runner-up gets the remaining 2.
Leave your stats in a comment below and PLEASE include the books you read.

Also, I'd like everyone participating to write reviews of the books you read throughout the event. Whether you're a reviewer or just a reader, we want to know what you read and what you thought about it. If you blog your reviews send me a link and I'll post them all here. If you don't blog, post one on Goodreads. If you aren't on Goodreads, e-mail me your review and I'll post it on Book-Savvy. The authors (and myself) would love to see your opinion of their work.

The following are links to blogs hosting mini-challenges today. Check them out. They have some epic giveaways! Check back tomorrow for the blogs hosting Day 2.

  1. I signed up to participate but I'm just reading whatever I was already going to read. I don't even know the books and authors you are mentioning so I probably won't enter the giveaways. As for reviews, would you even want links to reviews for random nonfiction or fiction books?

  4. Callista: Yes, you can read whatever you want!

We just thought it would be great motivation to clear our 2010 Debut Author's Challenge list and get ready for 2011. The first book I read was a 2011, so no worries!

As far as reviews, I'd love all of them! Especially books I haven't read yet! I enjoy comparing opinions on books, but I revel in discovering new ones, so give me whatever you come up with.

    Thanks so much for participating!

  5. I'm working these days, but I decided to participate anyway! Yesterday I read 177 pages (see my update post here: http://thebookishtype.blogspot.com/2010/12/out-with-bang-readathon.html ). Today I hope to get in at least 200 more pages :)

  7. Thanks for co-hosting this challenge. I can't participate in the total pages because I didn't note my starting pages for the books I was already reading and one is audio, but good luck everyone!
