The Iron Queen by Julie Kagawa

The Iron Queen (Iron Fey, #3)The Iron Queen by Julie Kagawa

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Meghan has one heck of a choice to make. All she wants to do is rescue her human Dad, then return to her human home, human family, and human life.
The Iron Queen starts shortly after Ash has proclaimed his love for her, and been exiled from Tir Na Nog. Meghan and Ash come up with a plan to get her human father back from Leanansidhe and discovers that the Iron Fey continue to prosper. The Winter Queen, Mab and the Summer King, Oberon have joined forces for only the second time in all of history to try and stop the Iron Fey from destroying the Nevernever. There efforts have proven futile as their forces are weakened and rendered ineffective by the iron creeping across the land. Meghan, half-human and half-Summer fey, is immune to the effects of the iron. Considering this as their last hope, the King and Queen offer her a deal; if Meghan destroys the Iron King they will pardon her love, Ash, and best friend, Puck to return to their homeland, the Nevernever. Unsure of herself and unclear of any options, Meghan will do whatever she can to give this unprecedented opportunity to them.
What ensues is a heart-wrenching, blood pressure raising adventure the likes of which I've never dreamed.
If you have experienced the 2 1/2 preceding books, you will be blown away by this installment. From the first page to the last I was surprised, scandalized, enthralled, and enraptured.
Even if you have not read any of the other Iron Fey books, this one will not disappoint.
