The Crossroads Blog Tour: Day 3 with Stacey Kade

Welcome to day 3 of The Crossroads Blog Tour. Todays wicked-awesome author is Stacey Kade
with her uber-cool book, The Ghost and The Goth:

From Goodreads:
After a close encounter with the front end of a school bus, Alona Dare goes from Homecoming Queen to Queen of the Dead. Now she’s stuck here in spirit form with no sign of the big, bright light coming to take her away. To make matters worse, the only person who might be able to help her is Will Killian, a total loser/outcast type who hates the social elite. He alone can see and hear her, but he wants nothing to do with the former mean girl of Groundsboro High.
Can they get over their mutual distrust—and this weird attraction between them—to work together before Alona vanishes for good and Will is locked up for seeing things that don’t exist?

Stacey was sweet enough to answer a few questions for us:

Book-Savvy: What is your favorite quote from The Ghost and The Goth?
Stacey Kade: "This is Alona speaking to Will: "You better smile, or we're toast, " I said. "Everything about you screams social malcontent with a grudge and a trunk full of weapons.""
That's great! Paints a pretty vivid characterization.

Book-Savvy: Where is your favorite place to write?
Stacey Kade: "In my home office or my local Barnes and Noble cafe."
Irony? Those are my favorite places to read! Well, not in your home office, that would be creepy. Cool, but definitely creepy.

Book-Savvy: If you were stranded on a desert island which of your characters would you choose to be stuck with?
Stacey Kade: "Oh, that's tricky. I'm not sure. Alona would complain a whole bunch, but if anyone was going to find a way to get us rescued, it would be her!"
I think when you put it that way, the complaining would be worth dealing with :)

Thanks so much to Stacey for not only gracing us with her presence, but also providing a *signed* copy of The Ghost and The Goth for me to give to one lucky commenter!!!
Please include an e-mail address so I can contact you if you win.

  5. Alona reminds me of the blonde on Sonny with a Chance (a Disney Show). I haven't read this one but I will. Especially when I need a light read because this one sounds funny. I can't imagine two more opposite characters. Great interview!
