The Crossroads Blog Tour: Day 4 ft: Rosemary Clement-Moore

Welcome to Day 4 of The Crossroads! Today we're hanging out with Rosemary Clement-Moore and featuring The Splendor Falls

Sylvie Davis is a ballerina who can’t dance. A broken leg ended her career, but Sylvie’s pain runs deeper. What broke her heart was her father’s death, and what’s breaking her spirit is her mother’s remarriage—a union that’s only driven an even deeper wedge into their already tenuous relationship.
Uprooting her from her Manhattan apartment and shipping her to Alabama is her mother’s solution for Sylvie’s unhappiness. Her father’s cousin is restoring a family home in a town rich with her family’s history. And that’s where things start to get shady. As it turns out, her family has a lot more history than Sylvie ever knew. More unnerving, though, are the two guys that she can’t stop thinking about. Shawn Maddox, the resident golden boy, seems to be perfect in every way. But Rhys—a handsome, mysterious foreign guest of her cousin’s—has a hold on her that she doesn’t quite understand.
Then she starts seeing things. Sylvie’s lost nearly everything—is she starting to lose her mind as well?

Rosemary was kind enough to humor me:

Book-Savvy: If you could live out any scene from your books which would you choose?

Rosemary Clement-Moore: "I have some scary, painful scenes in my books that would be really exciting, but I'd probably go for one of the fun, romantic scenes. Because I'm a girl that way. Oh, wait. There's a scene toward the end of Highway to Hell that's both. Maggie and her compatriots have been fighting off monsters, and they realize there are more on the way. The stuffs about to hit the fan, and Maggie is going to have to ride into danger because she's the only one who can do the thing that needs to be done. She shares a moment with her sweetheart that I think is terribly romantic AND a throwback to the action adventure movies that inspired the whole ending of that book."
Okay, now I have to add Highway to Hell to my "To Be Read" list.

Book-Savvy: When you were little, what did you dream of becoming when you grew up?

Rosemary Clement-Moore: "A writer! Or a Detective. Or a Dragonrider."
I'm still watching the 'Help Wanted' ads for a Dragonrider position.

Book-Savvy: If you were stranded on a desert island which one of your characters would you choose to be stuck with?

Rosemary Clement-Moore: "Maggie. She raises "overprepared" to an art form! She probably have everything we need to hunt, cook, build a shelter, and possibly a short-wave radio.
Plus, she'd be great company, too :)

Huge "Thanks" and *hugs* to Rosemary for stopping by! She gave me some cool-cool SIGNED swag to give away to one awesome commenter...you know what to do! Make sure to leave an e-mail address so I can contact you if you win.

  1. Just love your name, Heather. Guess I'll have to add Highway to Hell to my TBR list too. But I'm really looking forward to Splendor Falls. I have a cousin that was a ballerina and had to stop because of too many injuries. I'm going to send her this book after I read it to make sure nothing bad happens, relatively speaking, to the main character.
